حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْعَبَّاسِ الْمُؤَدِّبُ ثنا سُرَيْجُ بْنُ النُّعْمَانِ الْجَوْهَرِيُّ ثنا فُلَيْحُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَقِيلٍ قَالَ دَخَلْنَا عَلَى الرُّبَيِّعِ بِنْتِ مُعَوِّذِ بْنِ عَفْرَاءَ فِي نَفَرٍ فَسَأَلْتُهَا

عَنْ وُضُوءِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَتْ «نَعَمْ تَوَضَّأَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فِي نَحْوِ هَذَا الْإِنَاءِ وَهِيَ تُشِيرُ بِيَدِهَا إِلَى رَكْوَةٍ تَأْخُذُ مُدًّا وَثُلُثًا بِالْأَوَّلِ فِيمَا أَرَى فَمَضْمَضَ وَاسْتَنْشَقَ وَغَسَلَ وَجْهَهُ وَيَدَيْهِ ثَلَاثًا ثُمَّ مَسَحَ مُقَدَّمَ رَأْسِهِ وَمُؤَخَّرَهُ وَمَسَحَ أُذُنَيْهِ مَعَ مُؤَخَّرِ رَأْسِهِ وَغَسَلَ رِجْلَيْهِ»

✧ About the ablution of the Messenger of God ﷺ, she said: Yes, the Messenger of God ﷺ performed ablution in a vessel like this one, indicating with her hand toward a small water skin that holds a mudd and a third, according to the first (report), as I believe. He rinsed his mouth, inhaled water, washed his face and hands three times, then wiped the front of his head and the back of his head, and wiped his ears along with the back of his head, and washed his feet.
