حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ رِشْدِينَ ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ ثنا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ أَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ الْحَارِثِ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُتْبَةَ عَنْ رَائِطَةَ امْرَأَةِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ قَالَتْ
سَأَلْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَقُلْتُ إِنِّي امْرَأَةٌ ذَاتُ صَنْعَةٍ أَبْتَغِي بِهَا وَلَيْسَ لِي وَلَا لِزَوْجِي شَيْءٌ وَلَا لِوَلَدِي يَشْغَلُونِي فَلَا أَتَصَدَّقُ فَقَالَ «لَكِ فِي ذَلِكَ أَجْرٌ مَا أَنْفَقْتِ عَلَيْهِمْ»

✧ I asked the Prophet ﷺ, saying: 'I am a woman of craftsmanship by which I seek [livelihood], but neither I, nor my husband, nor my children have anything; they preoccupy me so that I do not give charity.' He said: 'You will have a reward for that, whatever you spend on them.'
