al-Mu'jam al-Kabir (al-Tabarani) 21080

✧ Khawlah bt. Hakim b. Umayah b. Harithah b. al-Auqas b. Marrah b. Hilal As-Sulamiyyah "The Wife of Uthman b. Mazh'un, and she was among those who dedicated themselves to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ.

حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْأَعْلَى النَّرْسِيُّ أَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ بْنِ عُيَيْنَةَ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ سُوَيْدٍ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي سُوَيْدٍ الثَّقَفِيِّ عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ قَالَ

زَعَمَتِ الْمَرْأَةُ الصَّالِحَةُ خَوْلَةُ بِنْتُ حَكِيمٍ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ «الْوَلَدُ مَحْزَنَةٌ مَجْبَنَةٌ مَجْهَلَةٌ مَبْخَلَةٌ وَإِنَّ آخِرَ وَطْأَةٍ وََطئَهَا اللهُ ﷻ بِوَجٍّ»

✧ The righteous woman Khawlah bt. Ḥakīm claimed that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “Children are a cause of grief, cowardice, ignorance, and stinginess, and the last place where Allah, may He be exalted, set foot was Wajj.”
