حَدَّثَنَا مُطَّلِبُ بْنُ شُعَيْبٍ الْأَزْدِيُّ ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ صَالِحٍ حَدَّثَنِي اللَّيْثُ حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ خَالِدِ بْنِ مُسَافِرٍ عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ حَزْمٍ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ عُرْوَةَ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ يَقُولُ ذَكَرَ مَرْوَانُ بْنُ الْحَكَمِ فِي إِمَارَتِهِ عَلَى الْمَدِينَةِ

أَنَّهُ يُتَوَضَّأُ مِنْ مَسِّ الذَّكَرِ إِذَا أَفْضَى إِلَيْهِ رَجُلٌ بِيَدِهِ فَأَنْكَرْتُ ذَلِكَ وَقُلْتُ لَا وُضُوءَ مِنْ مَسِّهِ فَقَالَ مَرْوَانُ أَخْبَرَتْنِي بُسْرَةُ بِنْتُ صَفْوَانَ أَنَّهَا سَمِعَتْ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَذْكُرُ مَا يُتَوَضَّأُ مِنْهُ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «يُتَوَضَّأُ مِنْ مَسِّ الذَّكَرِ» قَالَ عُرْوَةُ «فَلَمْ أَزَلْ أُرَاجِعُ مَرْوَانَ فِي ذَلِكَ حَتَّى دَعَا رَجُلًا مِنْ حَرَسِهِ فَأَرْسَلَهُ إِلَى بُسْرَةَ بِنْتِ صَفْوَانَ فَسَأَلَهَا عَمَّا حَدَّثَتْهُ مِنْ ذَلِكَ فَأَرْسَلَتْ بُسْرَةُ بِمِثْلِ الَّذِي حَدَّثَنِي عَنْهَا مَرْوَانُ»

✧ That ablution is required due to touching the penis when a man reaches it with his hand. I denied that and said: No ablution is required from touching it. Marwan said: Busrah bint Safwan informed me that she heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ mentioning what ablution is required from, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Ablution is required from touching the penis.' Urwah said: 'I kept arguing with Marwan about that until he called a man from his guard and sent him to Busrah bint Safwan, and he asked her about what she had narrated to him regarding that. Busrah sent back the same as what Marwan had narrated to me from her.'
