حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ التُّسْتَرِيُّ ثنا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ بْنُ غَنَّامٍ ثنا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنِ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ قَالَا ثنا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مُوسَى عَنْ فُضَيْلِ بْنِ مَرْزُوقٍ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ الْحَسَنِ عَنْ فَاطِمَةَ بِنْتِ حُسَيْنٍ عَنْ أَسْمَاءَ بِنْتِ عُمَيْسٍ قَالَتْ

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يُوحَى إِلَيْهِ وَرَأْسُهُ فِي حِجْرِ عَلِيٍّ فَلَمْ يُصَلِّ الْعَصْرَ حَتَّى غَرَبَتِ الشَّمْسُ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «اللهُمَّ إِنَّ عَلِيًّا كَانَ فِي طَاعَتِكَ وَطَاعَةِ رَسُولِكَ فَارْدُدْ عَلَيْهِ الشَّمْسَ» قَالَتْ أَسْمَاءُ «فَرَأَيْتُهَا غَرَبَتْ وَرَأَيْتُهَا طَلَعَتْ بَعْدَمَا غَرَبَتْ» وَاللَّفْظُ لِحَدِيثِ عُثْمَانَ

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was receiving revelation while his head was in 'Ali's lap, and he had not prayed 'Asr until the sun had set. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "O Allah, 'Ali was engaged in obedience to You and obedience to Your Messenger, so return the sun for him." Asma' said, "I saw it set, and I saw it rise after it had set." The wording is from the hadith of 'Uthman.
