حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ هَارُونَ ثنا عَوْنُ بْنُ سَلَّامٍ ثنا زُهَيْرٌ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ أَبِي نَجِيحٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ بَابَيْهِ عَنْ أَسْمَاءَ بِنْتِ عُمَيْسٍ قَالَتْ
قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنَّ الْعَيْنَ تُسْرِعُ إِلَى بَنِي جَعْفَرٍ أَفَأَسْتَرْقِي لَهُمْ؟ قَالَ «نَعَمْ فَاسْتَرْقِي لَهُمْ فَلَوْ قُلْتُ إِنَّ شَيْئًا يَسْبِقُ الْقَدَرَ لَقُلْتُ إِنَّ الْعَيْنَ سَبَقَتْهُ»

✧ I said, "O Messenger of Allah, the evil eye afflicts the sons of Ja'far quickly; should I seek ruqyah for them?" He said, "Yes, seek ruqyah for them, for if I were to say that anything could outpace the divine decree, I would say that the evil eye outpaces it."
