حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْمَدِينِيُّ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبِي عَدِيٍّ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ فَاطِمَةَ بِنْتِ الْمُنْذِرِ عَنْ أَسْمَاءَ بِنْتِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ
أَنَّهَا سَمِعْتِ امْرَأَةً تَسْأَلُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَتْ إِنَّ لِي ضَرَّةً وَإِنِّي أَتَشَبَّعُ مِنْ زَوْجِي بِمَا لَا يُصِيبُنِي أَغِيظُهَا بِذَلِكَ فَهَلْ عَلَى فِي ذَلِكَ شَيْءٌ؟ فَقَالَ «الْمُتَشَبِّعُ بِمَا لَمْ يُعْطَ كَلَابِسِ ثَوْبَيْ زُورٍ»

✧ She heard a woman ask the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, saying, "I have a co-wife, and I pretend from my husband what I do not actually receive, to anger her by that. Is there any sin on me in that?" He said, "The one who pretends to have been given what he was not given is like the one who wears two garments of falsehood."
