حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الْأَصْبَهَانِيُّ ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُسْهِرٍ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ فَاطِمَةَ بِنْتِ الْمُنْذِرِ عَنْ أَسْمَاءَ بِنْتِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ

أَنَّهَا كَانَتْ إِذَا أُتِيَتْ بِالْمَرْأَةِ قَدْ حُمَّتْ دَعَتْ بِالْمَاءِ فَسَكَبَتْهُ عَلَيْهِ وَبَيْنَ جَنْبَيْهَا وَقَالَتْ إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ أَمَرَنَا أَنْ نُبَرِّدَ بِالْمَاءِ وَقَالَ «إِنَّهَا مِنْ فَحِيحِ جَهَنَّمَ»

✧ When a woman who was feverish was brought to her, she would call for water and pour it between her and her sides, and she would say: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ commanded us to cool it with water, and he said: “It is from the heat of Hell.”
