حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ مُوسَى ثنا الْحُمَيْدِيُّ ثنا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ فَاطِمَةَ بِنْتِ الْمُنْذِرِ عَنْ أَسْمَاءَ بِنْتِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ

أَنَّهَا كَانَتْ إِذَا أُتِيَتْ بِالْمَرْأَةِ الْمَوْعُوكَةِ أَمَرَتْ أَنْ يُصَبَّ عَلَيْهَا الْمَاءُ وَقَالَتْ إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ «أَبْرِدُوهَا بِالْمَاءِ فَإِنَّهَا مِنْ فَيْحِ جَهَنَّمَ»

✧ "When a woman in her menstrual period was brought to her, she would order water to be poured on her and she would say, 'The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'Cool her down with water, for it is from the heat of Hellfire.'
