حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلُّوَيْهِ الْقَطَّانُ ثنا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عِيسَى الْعَطَّارُ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حِمْيَرٍ عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ عَيَّاشٍ عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ عَنْ حُصَيْنِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ قَالَ
دَخَلْتُ مَعَ أَبِي عَلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ «إِنَّ هَذَا الْأَمْرَ لَنْ يَمْضِيَ وَلَنْ يَنْقَضِيَ حَتَّى يَنْقَضِيَ اثْنَا عَشَرَ خَلِيفَةً» ثُمَّ تَكَلَّمَ بِشَيْءٍ لَمْ أَفْهَمْهُ قُلْتُ لِأَبِي مَا الَّذِي قَالَ؟ قَالَ «كُلُّهُمْ مِنْ قُرَيْشٍ»

✧ I entered with my father to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and he said, "Indeed, this matter will not pass and it will not come to an end until twelve Caliphs have passed." Then he said something that I did not understand. I asked my father, "What did he say?" He said, "All of them are from the Quraysh."
