حَدَّثَنَا مَسْعَدَةُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ الْعَطَّارُ الْمَكِّيُّ ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ الْمُنْذِرِ الْحِزَامِيُّ ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يَحْيَى بْنِ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ قَالَتْ

أَسْمَاءُ «لَمَّا وَلَدْتُ عَبْدَ اللهِ بْنَ الزُّبَيْرِ أُتِيَ بِهِ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَمَسَحَهُ وَسَمَّاهُ عَبْدَ اللهِ ثُمَّ جَاءَ بَعْدُ وَهُوَ ابْنُ سَبْعِ سِنِينَ أَوْ ثَمَانٍ لِيُبَايِعَ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ أَمَرَهُ الزُّبَيْرُ بِذَلِكَ فَتَبَسَّمَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ حِينَ رَآهُ مُقْبِلًا وَبَايَعَهُ»

✧ Asma' [said]: "When I gave birth to 'Abd Allah b. al-Zubayr, he was brought to the Prophet ﷺ, and he wiped over him and named him 'Abd Allah. Then later, when he was seven or eight years old, he came to pledge allegiance to the Prophet ﷺ—al-Zubayr had ordered him to do that. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ smiled when he saw him approaching and accepted his pledge."
