حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ بْنُ غَنَّامٍ ثنا يَعْلَى بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ بُكَيْرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ الْأَشَجِّ عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ يَسَارٍ
عَنْ مَيْمُونَةَ زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَتْ أَعْتَقْتُ جَارِيَةً لِي فَدَخَلَ عَلِيَّ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ فَأَخْبَرْتُهُ بِعِتْقِهَا فَقَالَ «آجَرَكِ اللهُ أَمَا أَنَّكِ لَوْ أُعْطِيتِهَا أَخْوَالَكِ لَكَانَ أَعْظَمَ لِأَجْرِكِ»

✧ From Maymunah, the wife of the Prophet ﷺ, she said: I manumitted a slave girl of mine. The Prophet ﷺ entered upon me, and I informed him of her manumission. He said, “May Allah reward you. Indeed, had you given her to your maternal uncles, it would have been greater for your reward.”
