حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ مُسَاوِرٍ الْجَوْهَرِيُّ ثنا عِصْمَةُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ الْخَزَّازُ حَدَّثَنَا شَرِيكٌ عَنْ سِمَاكِ بْنِ حَرْبٍ عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ عَنْ مَيْمُونَةَ قَالَتْ
اغْتَسَلَتُ مِنَ جَنَابَةٍ فَجَاءَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَاغْتَسَلَ بِفَضْلِي فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنِّي قَدِ اغْتَسَلْتُ مِنْهُ فَقَالَ «إِنَّ الْمَاءَ لَا جَنَابَةَ عَلَيْهِ»

✧ I performed ghusl from janabah, then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ came and performed ghusl with the water left over from my ghusl. I said, "O Messenger of Allah, I had performed ghusl from it." He said, "Water does not carry janabah."
