حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى ثنا مُسَدَّدٌ ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ عَنِ الْحَكَمِ بْنِ فَرُّوخَ أَبِي بَكَّارٍ عَنْ أَبِي الْمَلِيحِ بْنِ أُسَامَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ سَلِيطٍ
عَنْ بَعْضِ أَزْوَاجِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ مَيْمُونَةَ وَكَانَ أَخَاهَا مِنَ الرَّضَاعَةِ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «مَا مِنْ مُسْلِمٍ يُصَلِّي عَلَيْهِ أُمَّةٌ إِلَّا شُفِّعُوا فِيهِ» وَكَانَ أَبُو الْمَلِيحِ يَقُولُ الْأُمَّةُ أَرْبَعُونَ فَصَاعِدًا

✧ From one of the wives of the Prophet ﷺ, Maymunah — and he was her brother through breastfeeding — from the Prophet ﷺ, he said: “There is no Muslim over whom a community prays [the funeral prayer] except that they are granted intercession for him.” Abu al-Malih used to say: “The community is forty or more.”
