حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ مُوسَى ثنا الْحُمَيْدِيُّ ثنا سُفْيَانُ ثنا الزُّهْرِيُّ أَخْبَرَنِي عُبَيْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُتْبَةَ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ مَيْمُونَةَ
أَنَّ فَأْرَةً وَقَعَتْ فِي سَمْنٍ فَمَاتَتْ فَسُئِلَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ «أَلْقُوهَا وَمَا حَوْلَهَا وَكُلُوهُ» قَالَ الْحُمَيْدِيُّ فَقِيلَ لِسُفْيَانَ فَإِنَّ مَعْمَرًا يُحَدِّثُهُ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ فَقَالَ سُفْيَانُ مَا سَمِعْتُ الزُّهْرِيَّ يُحَدِّثُهُ إِلَّا عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ عَنْ مَيْمُونَةَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ سَمِعَتْ مِنْهُ مِرَارًا

✧ A mouse fell into clarified butter and died. The Messenger of God ﷺ was asked, and he said, “Throw it away and what is around it, and eat it.” Al-Humaydi said: It was said to Sufyan that Maʿmar narrates it from al-Zuhri, from Saʿid, from Abu Hurayra. Sufyan said, “I never heard al-Zuhri narrate it except from ʿUbayd Allah, from Ibn ʿAbbas, from Maymuna, from the Prophet ﷺ. I heard it from him many times.”
