حَدَّثَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ بْنِ مِقْلَاصٍ ثنا أَبِي أَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي مَخْرَمَةُ بْنُ بُكَيْرٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ الضَّحَّاكِ الْخُزَامِيِّ قَالَ أَخْبَرَتْنِي أُمُّ حَكِيمٍ بِنْتُ أُسَيْدٍ عَنْ أُمِّهَا
عَنْ مَوْلَاةٍ لَهَا أَرْسَلَتْهَا إِلَى أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ فَقَالَتْ سَمِعْتُ أُمَّ سَلَمَةَ تَقُولُ قَالَ لِي رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ وَأَنَا فِي عِدَّتِي مِنْ وَفَاةِ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ «لَا تَمْتَشِطِي بِالطِّيبِ وَلَا بِالْحِنَّاءِ فَإِنَّهُ خِضَابٌ» قُلْتُ فَبِأَيِّ شَيْءٍ أَمْتَشِطُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ؟ قَالَ «بِالسِّدْرِ تُغَلِّفِي بِهِ رَأْسَكِ»

✧ From a freedwoman of hers whom she sent to Umm Salamah; she said: I heard Umm Salamah say: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to me while I was in my waiting period following the death of Abu Salamah: “Do not comb your hair with perfume or with henna, for it is a dye.” I said: With what should I comb my hair, O Messenger of Allah? He said: “With lote-tree leaves; wrap your head with it.”
