حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو الْخَلَّالُ ثنا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ ثنا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي زِيَادٍ عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ قَالَ
سُئِلَتْ أُمُّ سَلَمَةَ هَلْ تُغَطِّي الْمَرْأَةُ وَجْهَهَا وَهِيَ مُحْرِمَةٌ؟ فَقَالَتْ «كَانَ الرَّكْبُ يَمُرُّونَ عَلَيْنَا وَنَحْنُ مَعَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ وَتَسْدُلُ إِحْدَانَا عَلَى وَجْهِهَا الثَّوْبَ»

✧ Umm Salamah was asked whether a woman should cover her face while in ihram. She said: “Riders used to pass by us while we were with the Prophet ﷺ, and one of us would let her cloth hang down over her face.”
