حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو يَحْيَى الرَّازِيُّ ثنا مَحْمُودُ بْنُ غَيْلَانَ ثنا أَبُو النَّضْرِ ثنا سَالِمُ بْنُ طَلْحَةَ ثنا جَامِعُ بْنُ أَبِي رَاشِدٍ وَدُمُوعُهُ يَتَحَدَّرُ عَنْ أُمِّ مُبَشِّرٍ عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ
أَنَّهَا سَمِعَتْ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «إِذَا ظَهَرَ الشَّرُّ فِي الْأَرْضِ أَنْزَلَ اللهُ بَأْسَهُ بِأَهْلِ الْأَرْضِ» قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ فَإِنْ كَانَ فِيهِمْ قَوْمٌ صَالِحُونَ؟ قَالَ «نَعَمْ وَإِنْ كَانَ فِيهِمْ قَوْمٌ صَالِحُونَ يُصِيبُهُمْ مَا أَصَابَ النَّاسَ ثُمَّ يَرْجِعُونَ إِلَى رَحْمَةِ اللهِ وَمَغْفِرَتِهِ»

✧ She heard the Messenger of God ﷺ say: When evil appears on the earth, God sends His punishment upon the people of the earth. I said: O Messenger of God, what if there are righteous people among them? He said: Yes, even if there are righteous people among them, what befalls the people will befall them too; then they will return to God's mercy and forgiveness.
