حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو يَحْيَى الرَّازِيُّ ثنا سَهْلُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ ثنا جُنَادَةُ بْنُ سَلْمٍ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ عَنْ أُمِّهِ عَنْ أُمِّ كُلْثُومٍ بِنْتِ زَيْنَبَ عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ
أَنَّهَا قَالَتْ لَمَّا مَاتَ أَبُو سَلَمَةَ وَرَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عِنْدَهُ قُمْتُ أُرِيدُ الْبُكَاءَ عَلَيْهِ فَقَالَ لِي رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «فَاعِلَةٌ مَاذَا؟» فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ أَبْكِي عَلَى أَبِي سَلَمَةَ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «لَا تَفْعَلِي فَإِنَّ لِأَهْلِ الْمَيِّتِ عِنْدَ مَوْتِ مَيِّتِهِمْ مَا دَعَوْا بِهِ»

✧ She said: When Abu Salamah died, and the Messenger of God ﷺ was with him, I got up intending to weep over him. The Messenger of God ﷺ said to me: 'What are you about to do?' I said: 'O Messenger of God, I will weep for Abu Salamah.' The Messenger of God ﷺ said: 'Do not do that, for the family of the deceased has, at the death of their deceased, what they supplicate for him.'
