حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ النَّضْرِ ثنا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو ثنا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْفِرْيَابِيُّ ثنا عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنُ مَرْوَانَ الْمِصِّيصِيُّ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ ثنا الْمُسَيَّبُ بْنُ وَاضِحٍ قَالُوا ثنا أَبُو إِسْحَاقَ الْفَزَارِيُّ عَنْ خَالِدٍ الْحَذَّاءِ عَنْ أَبِي قِلَابَةَ عَنْ قَبِيصَةَ بْنِ ذُؤَيْبٍ عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ قَالَتْ
دَخَلَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَلَى أَبِي سَلَمَةَ وَقَدْ شُقَّ بَصَرُهُ فَأَغْمَضَ وَقَالَ «إِنَّ الرُّوحَ إِذَا قُبِضَ تَبِعَهُ الْبَصَرُ» فَضَجَّ نَاسٌ مِنْ أَهْلِهِ فَقَالَ «لَا تَدْعُوا عَلَى أَنْفُسِكُمْ إِلَّا بِخَيْرٍ فَإِنَّ الْمَلَائِكَةَ يُؤَمِّنُونَ عَلَى مَا تَقُولُونَ» ثُمَّ قَالَ «اللهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِأَبِي سَلَمَةَ وَارْفَعْ دَرَجَتَهُ فِي الْمَهْدِيِّينَ وَاخْلُفْهُ فِي عَقِبِهِ فِي الْغَابِرِينَ وَاغْفِرْ لَنَا وَلَهُ يَا رَبَّ الْعَالَمِينَ اللهُمَّ افْسَحْ لَهُ فِي قَبْرِهِ وَنَوِّرْ لَهُ فِيهِ»

✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ entered upon Abu Salamah when his gaze had already become fixed. He closed his eyes and said, “When the soul is taken, the sight follows it.” Some of his family clamored, so he said, “Do not pray against yourselves except for good, for the angels say 'Amen' to what you say.” Then he said, “O God, forgive Abu Salamah, raise his degree among the rightly guided, and be his successor among his descendants who remain. Forgive us and him, O Lord of the worlds. O God, make his grave spacious for him and fill it with light.”
