حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو الْخَلَّالُ ثنا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ ثنا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ
عَنْ سَلَمَةَ رَجُلٍ مِنْ وَلَدِ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ قَالَتْ خَاصَمَ الزُّبَيْرُ رَجُلًا إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَضَى لِلزُّبَيْرِ فَقَالَ الرَّجُلُ إِنَّمَا قَضَى لَهُ لِأَنَّهُ ابْنُ عَمَّتِهِ فَنَزَلَتْ {فَلَا وَرَبِّكَ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ حَتَّى يُحَكِّمُوكَ} الْآيَةَ

✧ On the authority of Salama, a man from the children of Umm Salama, from Umm Salama, who said: Al-Zubayr brought a dispute against a man to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and he ruled in favor of al-Zubayr. The man said: He only ruled in his favor because he is his paternal aunt's son. Then the verse was revealed: {But no, by your Lord, they will not believe until they make you judge} the verse.
