حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ
ثنا الْقَعْنَبِيُّ عَنْ مَالِكٍ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ يَسَارٍ عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ أَنَّ امْرَأَةً كَانَتْ تُهَرَاقُ الدَّمَ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَاسْتَفْتَتْ لَهَا أُمُّ سَلَمَةَ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ «لِتَنْظُرْ عِدَّةَ اللَّيَالِيَ وَالْأَيَّامِ الَّتِي كَانَتْ تَحِيضُهُنَّ مِنَ الشَّهْرِ قَبْلَ أَنْ يُصِيبَهَا الَّذِي أَصَابَهَا فَلْتَتْرُكِ الصَّلَاةَ قَدْرَ ذَلِكَ مِنَ الشَّهْرِ فَإِذَا خَلَّفَتْ ذَلِكَ فَلْتَغْتَسِلْ ثُمَّ لِتَسْتَثْفِرْ بِثَوْبٍ ثُمَّ لِتُصَلِّي»

✧ Al-Qa'nabi narrated to us from Malik, from Nafi', from Sulayman b. Yasar, from Umm Salamah that a woman used to experience irregular bleeding during the time of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. Umm Salamah asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ on her behalf. He said, "She should consider the number of nights and days in which she used to menstruate in the month before she was afflicted with what she has, and she should abandon the prayer for that amount of the month. When that period has passed, she should bathe, fasten a cloth, and then pray."
