حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ثنا عَارِمٌ ثنا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ يَسَارٍ
أَنَّ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ وَابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ وَأَبَا سَلَمَةَ اجْتَمَعُوا فَتَذَاكَرُوا الَّتِي تَضَعُ بَعْدَ وَفَاةِ زَوْجِهَا فَقَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ آخِرُ الْأَجَلَيْنِ وَقَالَ أَبُو سَلَمَةَ إِذَا وَضَعَتْ حَلَّتْ فَقَالَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ أَنَا مَعَ ابْنُ أَخِي فَبَعَثُوا كُرَيْبًا إِلَى أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ فَذَكَرَتْ حَدِيثَ سُبَيْعَةَ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ «أَمَرَهَا أَنْ تَزَوَّجَ»

✧ Abu Hurayrah, Ibn ‘Abbas, and Abu Salamah gathered and discussed a woman who gives birth after her husband’s death. Ibn ‘Abbas said, “The longer of the two terms.” Abu Salamah said, “When she gives birth, she becomes lawful.” Abu Hurayrah said, “I am with my brother’s son.” So they sent Kurayb to Umm Salamah, and she mentioned the hadith of Subay‘ah that the Prophet ﷺ “commanded her to marry.”
