حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ نَافِعٍ الطَّحَّانُ الْمِصْرِيُّ ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ ثنا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي مَخْرَمَةُ بْنُ بُكَيْرٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عُرْوَةَ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ قَالَ قَالَتْ
أُمُّ سَلَمَةَ ذَكَرْتُ الْمَسِيحَ الدَّجَّالَ لَيْلَةً فَلَمْ يَأْتِنِي النَّوْمُ فَلَمَّا أَصْبَحْتُ غَدَوْتُ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَأَخْبَرْتُهُ فَقَالَ «لَا تَفْعَلِي فَإِنَّهُ إِنْ يَخْرُجْ وَأَنَا فِيكُمْ يَكْفِكُمُ اللهُ بِي وَإِنْ يَخْرُجْ بَعْدَ أَنْ أَمُوتَ يَكْفِكُمُوهُ بِالصَّالِحِينَ» ثُمَّ قَامَ فَذَكَرَ الدَّجَّالَ فَقَالَ «مَا مِنْ نَبِيٍّ إِلَّا قَدْ حَذَّرَهُ أُمَّتَهُ وَأَنَا أُحَذِّرُكُمُوهُ إِنَّهُ أَعْوَرُ وَإِنَّ اللهَ لَيْسَ بِأَعْوَرَ أَلَا إِنَّ الْمَسِيحَ الدَّجَّالَ كَأَنَّ عَيْنَهُ عِنَبَةٌ طَافِيَةٌ»

✧ Umm Salamah: I mentioned the false messiah, the Dajjal, one night and sleep did not come to me. When morning came, I went to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and informed him. He said, “Do not do that, for if he emerges while I am among you, Allah will suffice you through me; and if he emerges after I die, He will suffice you through the righteous.” Then he stood and mentioned the Dajjal, saying, “There is no prophet but he warned his nation about him, and I warn you about him. He is one-eyed, and indeed Allah is not one-eyed. Indeed, the false messiah, the Dajjal—it is as if his eye is a floating grape.”
