حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْعَبَّاسِ الْمُؤَدِّبُ ثنا سُرَيْجُ بْنُ النُّعْمَانِ ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ عَنْ سَالِمٍ أَبِي النَّضْرِ عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ قَالَتْ
جَاءَتِ امْرَأَةٌ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَتْ إِنِّي أُسْتَحَاضُ قَالَ «لَيْسَ ذَاكَ بِالْحَيْضِ إِنَّمَا هُوَ عِرْقٌ لِتَقْعُدِ الْمَرْأَةُ أَيَّامَ أَقْرَائِهَا ثُمَّ لِتَغْتَسِلْ ثُمَّ لِتَسْتَثْفِرْ بِثَوْبٍ وَتُصَلِّي»

✧ A woman came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said, “I have istihadah (non-menstrual bleeding).” He said, “That is not menstruation; it is only a vein. The woman should refrain for the days of her menstrual periods, then perform ghusl, then fasten a cloth and pray.”
