حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الدَّبَرِيُّ ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ثنا الثَّوْرِيُّ عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ قَالَتْ
«وَالَّذِي تُوُفِيَ نَفْسُهُ تَعْنِي النَّبِيَّ ﷺ مَا تُوُفِّيَ حَتَّى كَانَ أَكْثَرُ صَلَاتِهِ قَاعِدًا إِلَّا الْمَكْتُوبَةَ وَكَانَ أَعْجَبُ الْعَمَلِ إِلَيْهِ الَّذِي يَدُومُ عَلَيْهِ صَاحِبُهُ وَإِنْ كَانَ يَسِيرًا»

✧ By the One who took his soul—meaning the Prophet ﷺ—he did not pass away until most of his prayer was performed sitting, except for the obligatory prayers. The deed most pleasing to him was that which its doer persisted in, even if it was little.
