حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ثنا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ الْمِنْهَالِ ثنا حَمَّادٌ عَنِ الْأَزْرَقِ بْنِ قَيْسٍ عَنْ ذَكْوَانَ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ أَنَّ أُمَّ سَلَمَةَ قَالَتْ
دَخَلَ عَلَيَّ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ بَعْدَ الْعَصْرِ فَصَلَّى رَكْعَتَيْنِ فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ مَا هَاتَانِ الرَّكْعَتَانِ قَالَ «كُنْتُ أُصَلِّيهُمَا بَعْدَ الظُّهْرِ فَجَاءَنِي حَالٌ فَشَغَلَنِي عَنْهُمَا حَتَّى صَلَّيْتُ الْعَصْرَ فَصَلَّيْتُهُمَا الْآنَ»

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ entered upon me after the afternoon prayer and prayed two rak'ahs. I said, 'O Messenger of Allah, what are these two rak'ahs?' He said, 'I used to pray them after noon, but something came to me and kept me busy until I prayed the afternoon prayer, so I prayed them now.'
