حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ التُّسْتَرِيُّ ثنا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ نُمَيْرٍ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ
أَنَّهَا كَانَ عِنْدَهَا جَارِيَتَانِ تُغَنِّيَانِ فِي يَوْمِ عِيدٍ وَعِنْدَهَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لَا يَنْهَاهَا فَدَخَلَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ فَانْتَهَرَهَا فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «دَعْهَا يَا أَبَا بَكْرٍ فَإِنَّ لِكُلِّ قَوْمٍ عِيدًا وَهَذَا عِيدُنَا»

✧ She had two slave-girls singing on a day of Eid, and the Messenger of God ﷺ was with her and did not forbid them. Abu Bakr entered and scolded them. The Messenger of God ﷺ said: "Leave her, O Abu Bakr, for every people has a festival, and this is our festival."
