حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ أَبِي الطَّاهِرِ بْنِ السَّرْحِ ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ بُكَيْرٍ ثنا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ
عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ فِي قَوْلِهِ {لَوْلَا جَاءُوا عَلَيْهِ} يَعْنِي «عَلَى الْقَذْفِ» {بِأَرْبَعَةِ شُهَدَاءَ فَإِذْ لَمْ يَأْتُوا بِالشُّهَدَاءِ فَأُولَئِكَ عِنْدَ اللهِ هُمُ الْكَاذِبُونَ} يَعْنِي «الَّذِينَ قَذَفُوا عَائِشَةَ»

✧ From Sa'id b. Jubayr regarding His saying: {Why did they not bring} meaning "for the slander" {four witnesses to it? And when they do not produce the witnesses, then it is they, in the sight of Allah, who are the liars} meaning "those who slandered Aisha."
