حَدَّثَنَا مَحْمُودُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْوَاسِطِيُّ ثنا زَكَرِيَّا بْنُ يَحْيَى ثنا شَرِيكٌ عَنْ سِمَاكٍ عَنْ جَابِرٍ قَالَ

«كَانَ بِلَالٌ يُؤَذِّنُ الظُّهْرَ إِذَا دَحَضَتِ الشَّمْسُ وَكَانَ رُبَّمَا أَخَّرَ الْإِقَامَةَ وَلَا يُؤَخِّرُ الْأَذَانَ»

Translation

✧ Bilal would give the call to prayer for Zuhr when the sun had passed its zenith, and he would sometimes delay the iqamah but would not delay the adhan.
