✧ The Marriage of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ to Khadijah, Her Age, Her Death, and Some of Her Stories

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَكَّارٍ السَّعْدِيُّ ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ

«أَقْبَلَتْ عَلَيَّ أُمِّي بِكُلِّ مَا تُقْبَلُ بِهِ النِّسَاءُ فَلَمْ أُجِبْ عَلَى ذَلِكَ فَأَطْعَمُونِي الْقِثَّاءَ وَالتَّمْرَ حِينَ أَرَادُوا أَنْ يَهْدُونِي إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَأَقْبَلْتُ عَلَيْهِ أَحْسَنَ إِقْبَالٍ»

✧ My mother approached me with everything with which women are approached, but I did not respond to that. So they fed me cucumber and dates when they wanted to present me to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and I responded in the best manner.
