✧ The Marriage of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ to Khadijah, Her Age, Her Death, and Some of Her Stories

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ اللَّيْثِ الْجَوْهَرِيُّ ثنا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ الصَّبَّاحِ الْبَزَّارُ ثنا زَيْدُ بْنُ الْحُبَابِ حَدَّثَنِي حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ

«لَمَّا تَزَوَّجَنِي النَّبِيُّ ﷺ سَمَّنَنِي أَهْلِي بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ فَلَمْ أَسْمَنْ فَأَطْعَمُونِي الْقِثَّاءَ وَالرُّطَبَ فَسَمِنْتُ عَلَيْهِ أَحْسَنَ السِّمَنِ»

✧ When the Prophet ﷺ married me, my family fattened me with everything, but I did not gain weight, so they fed me cucumber and fresh dates, and I gained weight upon that in the best manner.
