حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ مُوسَى ثنا الْحُمَيْدِيُّ ثنا سُفْيَانُ ثنا سَعِيدُ بْنُ الْمَرْزُبَانِ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ الْأَسْوَدِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ
«تَزَوَّجَنِي رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ وَعَلَيَّ حَوْفٌ وَمَا هُوَ إِلَّا أَنْ تَزَوَّجَنِي أُلْقِيَ عَلَيَّ الْحَيَاءُ» قَالَ سُفْيَانُ وَالْحَوْفُ ثَوْبٌ مِنْ سُيُورٍ يُلْبِسُهُ الْأَعْرَابُ أَبْنَاءَهَا

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ married me while I was wearing a hawf, and no sooner had he married me than shyness was cast upon me. Sufyan said: A hawf is a garment of leather straps that the Bedouins clothe their daughters with.
