✧ The Marriage of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ to Khadijah, Her Age, Her Death, and Some of Her Stories

حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ التُّسْتَرِيُّ حَدَّثَنِي يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ حُمَيْدِ بْنِ كَاسِبٍ ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يَحْيَى بْنِ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ «تَزَوَّجَهَا قَبْلَ مَخْرَجِهِ مِنْ مَكَّةَ بِثَلَاثِ سِنِينَ أَوْ قَرِيبًا مِنْ ذَلِكَ وَنَكَحَهَا وَهِيَ بِنْتُ سِتِّ سِنِينَ ثُمَّ بَنَى بِهَا بَعْدَ مَقْدَمِهِ الْمَدِينَةَ وَهِيَ يَوْمَ بِنَائِهَا بِنْتُ تِسْعٍ»

✧ The Prophet ﷺ married her three years before his departure from Makkah, or close to that, and he married her when she was six years old. Then he consummated the marriage with her after his arrival in Madinah, and she was nine years old on the day of consummation.
