✧ The Marriage of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ to Khadijah, Her Age, Her Death, and Some of Her Stories

حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ التُّسْتَرِيُّ ثنا يَحْيَى الْحِمَّانِيُّ ثنا ابْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ عَنْ مُجَالِدٍ عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ

كَانَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ إِذَا ذَكَرَ خَدِيجَةَ أَحْسَنَ عَلَيْهَا الثَّنَاءَ فَقُلْتُ مَا تَذْكُرُ مِنْهَا وَقَدْ أَبْدَلَكَ اللهُ بِهَا خَيْرًا؟ قَالَ «مَا أَبْدَلَنِي اللهُ بِهَا خَيْرًا مِنْهَا صَدَّقَتْنِي إِذْ كَذَّبَنِي النَّاسُ وَوَاسَتْنِي بِمَالِهَا إِذْ حَرَمَنِي النَّاسُ وَرَزَقَنِي اللهُ مِنْهَا الْوَلَدَ إِذْ لَمْ يَرْزُقْنِي مِنْ غَيْرِهَا»

✧ When the Prophet ﷺ mentioned Khadijah, he would praise her. I said, 'Why do you mention her when Allah has replaced her for you with someone better?' He said, 'Allah has not replaced her for me with anyone better than her. She believed in me when the people called me a liar, she shared her wealth with me when the people deprived me, and Allah granted me children from her when He did not grant me from any other.'
