حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمْرِو بْنِ خَالِدٍ الْحَرَّانِيُّ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي ثنا زُهَيْرٌ ثنا سِمَاكٌ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ جَابِرَ بْنَ سَمُرَةَ يَقُولُ

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «يَكُونُ بَعْدِي اثْنَا عَشَرَ أَمِيرًا» ثُمَّ تَكَلَّمَ بِشَيْءٍ لَمْ أَفْهَمْهُ فَسَأَلْتُ الْقَوْمَ كُلَّهُمْ فَقَالُوا قَالَ «كُلُّهُمْ مِنْ قُرَيْشٍ»

Translation

'There will be twelve Amir after me."' He said: "Then he said something that I did not understand. So I asked the one who was next to me, who said that he ﷺ had said: 'All of them are from Quraish."' (Using translation from Tirmidhī 2223)
