حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ ثنا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ثنا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ الرَّازِيُّ عَنْ زَكَرِيَّا بْنِ سَلَّامٍ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ مَسْرُوقٍ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ

لَمَّا مَاتَتْ زَيْنَبُ بِنْتُ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ ظَهَرَ مِنَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ حُزْنٌ ثُمَّ سُرِّيَ عَنْهُ فَقُلْنَا يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ رَأَيْنَاكَ حَزِينًا ثُمَّ سُرِّي عَنْكَ فَقَالَ «رَأَيْتُ زَيْنَبَ وَضَعْفَهَا وَلَقَدْ هَوَّنَ عَلَيْهَا وَعَلَيَّ ذَلِكَ وَلَقَدْ ضُغِطَتْ ضَغْطَةً بَلَغَتِ الْخَافِقَيْنِ»

✧ When Zaynab bint Rasul Allah ﷺ died, grief appeared in the Prophet ﷺ, then it was relieved. We said, 'O Messenger of Allah, we saw you grieving then it was relieved.' He said, 'I saw Zaynab and her weakness, and that was made easy for her and for me. She was squeezed with a squeeze that reached the two horizons.'
