حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ثنا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ ثنا زَكَرِيَّا بْنُ أَبِي زَائِدَةَ عَنْ فِرَاسٍ عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ أَقْبَلَتْ فَاطِمَةُ تَمْشِي

كَأَنَّ مِشْيَتَهَا مِشْيَةُ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ «مَرْحَبًا بِابْنَتِي» فَأَجْلَسَهَا عَنْ يَمِينِهِ أَوْ عَنْ شِمَالِهِ ثُمَّ أَسَرَّ إِلَيْهَا حَدِيثًا فَبَكَتْ فَقُلْتُ لَهَا اسْتَخَصَّكِ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ بِحَدِيثِهِ ثُمَّ تَبْكِينَ ثُمَّ أَسَرَّ إِلَيْهَا حَدِيثًا فَضَحِكَتْ فَقُلْتُ مَا رَأَيْتُ كَالْيَوْمِ فَرَحًا أَقْرَبَ مِنْ حَزَنٍ فَسَأَلْتُهَا عَمَّا قَالَ؟ فَقَالَتْ مَا كُنْتُ لِأُفْشِيَ سِرَّ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ حَتَّى إِذَا قُبِضَ سَأَلْتُهَا فَقَالَتْ إِنَّهُ أَسََرَّ إِلَيَّ فَقَالَ «إِنَّ جِبْرِيلَ كَانَ يُعَارِضُنِي الْقُرْآنَ كُلَّ سَنَةٍ مَرَّةً وَإِنَّهُ عَارَضَنِي الْعَامَ مَرَّتَيْنِ فَلَا أُرَاهُ إِلَّا قَدْ حَضَرَ أَجَلِي وَإِنَّكَ أَوَّلُ أَهْلِ بَيْتِي لَحَاقًا بِي وَنِعْمَ السَّلَفُ أَنَا لَكِ» فَبَكَيْتُ لِذَلِكَ ثُمَّ قَالَ «أَلَا تَرْضَيْنَ أَنْ تَكُونِي سَيِّدَةَ نِسَاءِ الْأُمَّةِ أَوْ نِسَاءَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ» فَضَحِكَتُ لِذَلِكَ

✧ Her walk was like the walk of the Messenger of God ﷺ. He said: “Welcome to my daughter,” and seated her on his right or on his left. Then he whispered a conversation to her and she wept. I said to her: “The Messenger of God ﷺ singled you out with his conversation and then you weep?” Then he whispered a conversation to her and she laughed. I said: “I have never seen joy closer to grief than this day.” I asked her about what he said, and she said: “I would not divulge the secret of the Messenger of God ﷺ.” Until when he was taken, I asked her and she said: “He whispered to me and said: ‘Gabriel used to review the Qur’an with me once every year, and this year he reviewed it with me twice, so I do not think it is except that my term has come, and you are the first of my household to join me, and what an excellent predecessor I am for you.’ So I wept at that. Then he said: ‘Are you not pleased that you will be the mistress of the women of the community, or the women of the Muslims?’ So I laughed at that.”
