حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ الْمُعَلَّى الدِّمَشْقِيُّ ثنا هِشَامُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ ثنا الْحَكَمُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ الثَّقَفِيُّ ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبَانَ عَنْ أَبِي فَرْوَةَ عَنْ أَبِي خَلَّادٍ وَكَانَتْ لَهُ صُحْبَةٌ قَالَ
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «إِذَا رَأَيْتُمُ الرَّجُلَ الْمُؤْمِنَ قَدْ أُعْطِيَ زُهْدًا فِي الدُّنْيَا وَقِلَّةَ مَنْطِقٍ فَاقْتَرِبُوا مِنْهُ فَإِنَّهُ تَلَقَّى الْحِكْمَةَ»
Translation

✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ said: "When you see the believing man given asceticism in this world and paucity of speech, draw near to him, for he has received wisdom."
