حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ حَنْبَلٍ ثنا شَيْبَانُ بْنُ فَرُّوخٍ ثنا أَبَانُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ الْعَطَّارُ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ عَنْ أَبِي قِلَابَةَ عَنْ أَبِي أُمَيَّةَ قَالَ

قَدِمْتُ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ مِنْ سَفَرٍ فَلَمَّا أَرَادَ أَنْ يَأْكُلَ رَجَعْتُ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «أَلَا تَغَدَّى» قُلْتُ إِنِّي صَائِمٌ قَالَ «أَلَا أُخْبِرُكَ عَنِ الْمُسَافِرِ إِنَّ اللهَ وَضَعَ عَنْهُ الصَّوْمَ وَنِصْفَ الصَّلَاةِ»

✧ I came to the Prophet ﷺ from a journey. When he wanted to eat, I turned away. The Prophet ﷺ said: "Will you not have lunch?" I said: "I am fasting." He said: "Shall I inform you about the traveler? Allah has waived fasting and half of the prayer for him."
