حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو شُعَيْبٍ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ الْحَرَّانِيُّ ثنا أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ النُّفَيْلِيُّ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي مَوْلًى لَهُمْ عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ أَبِي مَرْوَانَ الْأَسْلَمِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي مُعَتِّبِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ لَمَّا أَشْرَفَ عَلَى خَيْبَرَ قَالَ لِأَصْحَابِهِ وَأَنَا فِيهِمْ «قِفُوا» ثُمَّ قَالَ «اللهُمَّ رَبَّ السَّماوَاتِ وَمَا أَظْلَلْنَ وَرَبِّ الْأَرَضِينَ وَمَا أَقْلَلْنَ وَرَبِّ الشَّيَاطِينِ وَمَا أَضْلَلْنَ وَرَبِّ الرِّيَاحِ وَمَا ذَرَيْنَ أَسْأَلُكُ خَيْرَ هَذِهِ الْقَرْيَةِ وَخَيْرَ أَهْلِهَا وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَرِّهَا وَشَرِّ أَهْلِهَا وَشَرِّ مَا فِيهَا قَدِّمُوا بِسْمِ اللهِ» وَكَانَ يَقُولُهَا لِكُلِّ قَرْيَةٍ يَدْخُلُهَا

✧ When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ looked upon Khaybar, he said to his companions while I was among them: "Stop." Then he said: "O Allah, Lord of the heavens and what they shade, Lord of the earths and what they carry, Lord of the devils and what they mislead, and Lord of the winds and what they scatter, I ask You for the good of this town and the good of its people, and I seek refuge in You from its evil and the evil of its people and the evil of what is in it. Advance in the name of Allah." And he used to say it for every town he entered.
