حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عِيسَى بْنِ شَيْبَةَ الْمِصْرِيُّ ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سَيَّارٍ الْمَرْوَزِيُّ ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ أَنَا أَبِي عَنْ شُعْبَةَ عَنْ سِمَاكٍ عَنْ جَابِرٍ قَالَ

كَانَ الصِّبْيَانُ يَمُرُّونَ بِالنَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَمِنْهُمْ مَنْ يَمْسَحْ خَدَّهُ وَمِنْهُمْ مَنْ يَمْسَحْ خَدَّيْهِ فَمَرَرْتُ بِهِ فَمَسَحَ خَدِّي قَالَ فَكَانَ الْخَدُّ الَّذِي مَسَحَهُ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ أَحْسَنَ مِنَ الْخَدِّ الْآخَرِ

✧ Boys used to pass by the Prophet ﷺ, and some of them he would wipe one cheek and some of them he would wipe both cheeks. I passed by him and he wiped my cheek. He said: And the cheek that the Prophet ﷺ wiped became better looking than the other cheek.
