حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْفَضْلِ السِّقْطِيُّ ثنا سَعِيدُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ الْوَاسِطِيُّ ثنا عَبَّادُ بْنُ الْعَوَّامِ عَنْ حَجَّاجٍ عَنْ عُمَيْرِ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ سَبْرَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ

أَتَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ مَعَ ابْنِي فَقَالَ «مَا وَلَدُكَ؟» فَقُلْتُ فُلَانٌ وَفُلَانٌ وَعَبْدُ الْعُزَّى فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «خَيْرُ أَسْمَائِكُمْ عَبْدُ اللهِ وَعَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ وَالْحَارِثُ»

✧ I came to the Prophet ﷺ with my son, and he said: 'What children do you have?' I said: So-and-so, so-and-so, and 'Abd al-'Uzza. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'The best of your names are 'Abd Allah, 'Abd al-Rahman, and al-Harith.'
