حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ بْنُ غَنَّامٍ ثنا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ ثنا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مُعَاذٍ ثنا أَبِي قَالَا ثنا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ سِمَاكٍ سَمِعَ جَابِرَ بْنَ سَمُرَةَ قَالَ

صَلَّى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَلَى ابْنِ الدَّحْدَاحِ وَنَحْنُ شُهُودٌ ثُمَّ أَتَى بِفَرَسٍ فَعَقَلَ حَتَّى رَكِبَهُ فَجَعَلَ يَتَوَقَّصُ بِهِ وَنَحْنُ نَسْعَى حَوْلَهُ فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ عِنْدَ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ إِنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ «كَمْ مِنْ عِذْقٍ لِابْنِ الدَّحْدَاحِ مُعَلَّقٍ فِي الْجَنَّةِ»

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ prayed over Ibn al-Dahdah while we were present. Then a horse was brought, and it was hobbled until he mounted it. It began to prance with him while we ran around him. A man near Jabir b. Samurah said that the Prophet ﷺ said, "How many clusters of dates for Ibn al-Dahdah are hanging in Paradise!"
