حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ حَنْبَلٍ حَدَّثَنِي الْعَبَّاسُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ النَّرْسِيُّ ثَنَا وُهَيْبُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ عَنْ دَاوُدَ بْنِ أَبِي هِنْدٍ عَنْ مَكْحُولٍ عَنْ أَبِي ثَعْلَبَةَ الْخُشَنِيِّ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ إِنَّ أَحَبَّكُمْ إِلَيَّ وَأَقْرَبَكُمُ مِنِّي فِي الْآخِرَةِ مَجَالِسَ أَحَاسِنُكُمْ أَخْلَاقًا وَإِنَّ أَبْغَضَكُمْ إِلَيَّ وَأَبْعَدَكُمْ مِنِّي فِي الْآخِرَةِ مَسَاوِئِكُمْ أَخْلَاقًا الثَّرْثَارُونَ الْمُتَشَدِّقُونَ الْمُتَفَيْقِهُونَ

✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ said: "The most beloved of you to me and the nearest of you to me in the Hereafter in sitting will be the best of you in character. And the most hated of you to me and the farthest of you from me in the Hereafter in sitting will be the worst of you in character: the talkative, the eloquent boasters, and those who speak with affectation in religious matters."
