حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَانُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ ثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى الْقُطَعِيُّ ثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بُكَيْرٍ الْبُرْسَانِيُّ ثَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ حَدَّثَنِي أَيُّوبُ السَّخْتِيَانِيُّ أَنَّ أَبَا قِلَابَةَ حَدَّثَهُ عَنْ أَبِي ثَعْلَبَةَ الْخُشَنِيِّ

أَنَّهُ جَاءَ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَقَالَ إِنَّ أَرْضَنَا أَرْضُ صَيْدٍ فَأُرْسِلُ سَهْمِي وَأَذْكُرُ اسْمَ اللهِ وَأُرْسِلُ كَلْبِي الْمُعَلَّمَ وَأَذْكُرُ اسْمَ اللهِ وَأُرْسِلُ كَلْبِي الَّذِي لَيْسَ بِمُعَلَّمٍ وَأَذْكُرُ اسْمَ اللهِ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «مَا حَبَسَ عَلَيْكَ سَهْمُكَ وَذَكَرْتَ اسْمَ اللهِ فَكُلْ وَمَا حَبَسَ عَلَيْهِ كَلْبُكَ الْمُعَلَّمُ وَذَكَرْتَ اسْمَ اللهِ فَكُلْ وَمَا حَبَسَ عَلَيْكَ كَلْبُكَ الَّذِي لَيْسَ بِمُعَلَّمٍ وَأَدْرَكْتَ ذَكَاتَهُ فَكُلْ وَإِنْ لَمْ تُدْرِكْ ذَكَاتَهُ فَلَا تَأْكُلْ»

✧ He came to the Prophet ﷺ and said: Our land is a land of game. I shoot my arrow and mention Allah's name, I send my trained dog and mention Allah's name, and I send my dog that is not trained and mention Allah's name. The Prophet ﷺ said: "Whatever your arrow holds back for you and you mentioned Allah's name, eat. Whatever your trained dog holds back for you and you mentioned Allah's name, eat. Whatever your dog that is not trained holds back for you and you catch it alive and slaughter it, eat. If you do not catch it alive, do not eat."
