✧ He said: O Messenger of Allah, write for me a land grant. He said: "How can I write when it is in the land of war?" He said: By the One who sent you with the truth, they will surely possess what is under their feet. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was pleased with that, so he looked at his companions and wrote for him. Then he said: O Messenger of Allah, we are in a land of game; what is lawful for us of what is forbidden to us? He said: "When you send your trained dog or your taught dog, and you mention Allah's name, and it seizes and kills, then eat. When you send your dog that is not trained, whatever you catch while it is still alive and slaughter, then eat; whatever you do not catch alive, do not eat. And whatever your arrow returns to you with, eat."
