حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْأَبَّارُ ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ نَصْرٍ النَّيْسَابُورِيُّ ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ مُلَيْحَةَ عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ بْنِ عَمَّارٍ عَنِ الْهِرْمَاسِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ قَالَ

رَأَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ يَخْطُبُ عَلَى نَاقَتِهِ يَقُولُ «إِيَّاكُمْ وَالْخِيَانَةَ فَإِنَّهَا بِئْسَتُ الْبِطَانَةُ وَإِيَّاكُمْ وَالظُّلْمَ فَإِنَّهُ ظُلُمَاتٌ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ وَإِيَّاكُمْ وَالشُّحَّ فَإِنَّمَا أَهْلَكَ مَنْ كَانَ قَبْلَكُمُ الشُّحُّ فَسَفَكُوا دِمَاءَهُمْ وَقَطَّعُوا أَرْحَامَهُمْ»

✧ I saw the Prophet ﷺ delivering a sermon on his she-camel, saying: “Beware of treachery, for it is an evil inner characteristic. Beware of injustice, for it will be darkness on the Day of Resurrection. Beware of miserliness, for it destroyed those before you; it led them to shed their blood and sever their ties of kinship.”
