حَدَّثَنَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْفِرْيَابِيُّ ثنا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الدِّمَشْقِيُّ ثنا خَالِدُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي مَالِكٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ هاني أَبُو مَالِكٍ

أَنَّهُ «قَدِمَ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ مِنَ الْيَمَنِ فَدَعَاهُ إِلَى الْإِسْلَامِ فَأَسْلَمَ فَمَسَحَ عَلَى رَأْسِهِ وَدَعَا لَهُ بِالْبَرَكَةَ وَأَنْزَلَهُ عَلَى يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ» فَلَمَّا جَهَّزَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ الْجَيْشَ إِلَى الشَّامِ خَرَجَ مَعَهُمْ فَلَمْ يَرْجِعْ

Translation

  3. Khālid b. Yazīd b. Abū Mālik from his father from his grandfather Hāny Abū Mālik

✧ He came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ from Yemen, and he invited him to Islam, so he accepted Islam. He wiped over his head and prayed for blessing for him, and he lodged him with Yazid b. Abi Sufyan. Then when Abu Bakr equipped the army for Syria, he went out with them and did not return.
