✧ Hani bin Niyyar bin Amr bin Ubaid bin Kilab bin Duhman bin Ghanim bin Dhibyan bin Kahil bin Dihil bin Baliyy bin Amr bin al-Haf bin Quda'ah, Abu Burdah al-Balawi, Halif of Banu Harithah bin al-Khazraj, Aqabi, Badri and he is the uncle of Bara' bin Azib.

حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ التُّسْتَرِيُّ ثنا يَحْيَى الْحِمَّانِيُّ ثنا شَرِيكٌ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ جُمَيْعِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ أَبِي بُرْدَةَ قَالَ

كُنْتُ أَمْشِي مَعَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فِي طَرِيقٍ مِنْ طُرُقِ الْمَدِينَةِ فَمَرَّ بِطَعَامٍ فَأَدْخَلَ يَدَهُ فَأَخْرَجَ عَلَى يَدِهِ طَعَامًا رَدِيئًا فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «لَيْسَ مِنَّا مَنْ غَشَّ»

✧ I was walking with the Prophet ﷺ on one of the roads of Madinah, and he passed by some food. He inserted his hand [into it] and pulled out on his hand some bad food. Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Whoever cheats is not one of us."
